We feel LG should have taken this refrigerator off the market. We have had to have the compressor replaced twice in the five years we have had it. It is very inconvenient to go without a refrigerator fir several days and weeks the first time. We had to dispose of so much food, and the cost to replace this food twice, was very expensive. It is working now, but for how long??? Very disappointed with this refrigerator.

Shelving and drawers are junk

We have owned this fridge for four years and all the internal shelves and drawers have needed replacing at least once. We have treated it extremely gingerly since having to replace the first shelf within 6 months of owning but it hasn't made much of a difference. Going to have to spend more than the cost of the refrigerator on replacing shelves over the next five years.

Same footprint - More space! Better organized!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a 21 cu ft refrigerator with this one (24 cu ft) -- it's only an inch taller, and the few inches of added depth were taken up by the door handles on the old fridge. The clear shelves and bins let me see what's where, so I don't have to dig into the fridge as much to find things. It's great for organization! Lots of spaces on the door for tall things and wide things and small things. The shelves *and* their mounts in the fridge and freezer are sturdy and I'm not concerned about anything pulling out from the walls, or the shelves flexing. It was also super convenient to remove the built-in ice maker and reclaim that space in the freezer -- and now we don't have to worry at all about accidentally turning it on while it's not connected to water, and burning out the motor.
One caution though - let the fridge get to its operating temperature *before* you load food into it, and check that the temperatures are good with a thermometer. Mine was too cold in the fridge section at the default setting, but great (37 F) at the next setting. Oh, and it runs quieter, too!

Large and spacious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this about a month ago and overall happy with the fridge. A couple points though that could be made for improvement. Other reviews stated the lighting was bad, overall it isn't that bad but there could be more light in the back area. It isn't "dark" like others have commented but it is shadowed more than the front area. Second, I wish it had stated that it was not fingerprint resistant as if it had I would have bought the white instead. And lastly, the description should include that you have to watch blocking the "air vents" otherwise you could have issues. As this does make it so you lose a little bit of space in the freezer section. But for me all of these were minor, just suggestions on how to make it a better product. Overall very spacious, I don't have to look for stuff or move everything around like with a side by side. Would recommend this product.

Cheaply made shelves that crack and break

The shelves have very poor durability and are in desperate need of a redesign. Do yourself a favor and read and believe the negative reviews regarding the shelves.
