[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just had a compressor failure. My fridge has gone without repair for 20 days which is completely unacceptable. TG, I took a 5 yr extended warranty. LG has become notorious for compressor failures.

Died after 4 years

The LG refrigerator we bought November 2017 died yesterday. I don't expect fridges to last forever but I do expect more than 4 years. The DW we bought at same time is also dying. I guess 2017 was a bad year for LG manufacturing. With 2 products to replace we have decided it maybe time to move on from our 10 year LG brand loyalty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this July 2016. Worst refrigerator I have ever bought! Compressor, condenser and thermostat replaced waiting 2 yrs. Everything else had to replaced. Fridge still NOT cold!! Now last week was told needs another compressor and both condensers again! The fridge has completely stopped working!!

My family got this refrigerator probably about 1.5 yrs ago. Both draws have broken along with the bottom shelf. Two of the three shelves on the door have broken. My dad tried to look up replacement pieces but they were too expensive to even make it worth it and he found many reviews from other complaining of the same problems. I would recommend this fridge at all ever!

Good news Ashley, there are a couple of places that you can go to find replacement parts for your dads refrigerator. Check out Encompass Parts at: www.encompass.com, and type in your model number and a list of parts and prices will appear. Once you find the part number that you need, I would recommend checking Amazon.com for a compatible replacement. I hope this helps. ^Jennifer
