LG refrigerator is a horrible product

I bought an LG refrigerator about 5 years ago and never again. It looked nice but didn’t work. About a year after I bought it the compressor went out. Then after that it kept messing up, it had a leak, the compressor again and them this weird code came out and to this day my refrigerator does not work, it’s not cooling and my freezer is not freezing. Do Not buy an LG refrigerator! It’s been a horrible experience for me and my family! all of my food has gone to waste!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Fridge Experience

I have had quite the issue with this fridge. I bought it in 2015 and in 2020 the compressor died. Luckily that was covered under warranty parts and labor. I was told that these linear compressors were bad and then they replaced it with a normal compressor. Earlier this year in January, the condenser needed to be replaced. The part was in warranty but I had to pay for labor. Now again, the condenser has failed and I have to replace it again.
In general this fridge has not worked well. It would concisely be not as cool as it should be and ever so often the ice machine just stops working for weeks.

The features and storage really work!

We bought this refrigerator in preparation of our complete kitchen remodel. We had done research on various models & brands regarding size, capacity, extras. Our "must haves" of a French Door model were exceeded with the door-in-door feature. This brand/ model was the only one that had this feature and of course was the most expensive. Which at first was a factor since it seemed that we were paying a significant increase just for the Door-in-Door feature.
We have had this product for 3 months and have very much enjoyed all of the features. There is a lot of storage space inside, although, I moved the shelves around from the original way that it was delivered. The bright light makes finding everything easy. The freezer is set up to organize everything nicely. I like how we can turn off the outside ice/ water dispenser when my young niece and nephew visit, eliminating their ability to play with it. An "Off-track" deli drawer was the only negative we have experienced so far. Not sure if it was because the drawer is so wide? However, LG quickly replaced the drawer, and so far, so good.
Overall, despite the price, I would buy this fridge again!

Modern looking with lots of space

Shelves and bins are much better made than any of the other top freezer models we looked at. We like the looks of the LED light in both the refrigerator and Freezer but because the refrigerator light is located in the very front it is not sufficient to light up the back when filled with groceries. We love the large drawer for storing deli meats and cheese even though it does block the view of the bottom back shelf. The door hangs lower than usual so you have to watch that it does not scrape your foot. The motor sounds louder than I expected when it is on but we have had over a month and everything seems to be working well so far. I have had a few large shopping trips and have not had any issues with space. The ice-make is a bit noisier then our old one but the freezer has lots of room for the ice-cream cakes we like to buy..

BETTER THAN I EXPECTED!!!

For years we had a side-by-side, with ice and water dispenser in the door. After 15 years it died, and we started looking for another just like it. While looking at Lowes, we spied this LG, and were surprised that it came with the icemaker included (did not have to pay extra). After mulling over the fact that we would no longer have the luxury of getting water and ice so easily, we decided to give it a try. It didn't take long to adjust. It is so much roomier, we may never fill it up. Its beautiful.

This refrigerator has many energy saving features. It runs very quiet and has a great ice maker. The space in this refrigerator is also much larger than our 15 year old Kenmore. We have been very pleased so far.

Love it...but

We bought this fridge to replace an 16 year old fridge that worked, but was outdated. I've had my new fridge for just over 3 months and while I love how it looks and for the most part, it's functionality; we are now having issues in which will require a service visit. The fridge is making very loud noises from the fan that goes for hours and can be heard rooms away. 3 months in to have service issues is definitely a concern for the high price we paid for this product. Additionally, it lacks storage for taller items (multiple gallon jugs, large ketchup bottle, 2 liter bottles, etc.)
