[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This appliance has been a joy to have, but has stopped working 3 times. We have emptied it and unplugged it and it starts up again. But this last time it did not. We contacted LG repair and when the repair person came out he did a great job. So far we have experienced no problems. It is great to know that a company backs up it's products like this
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are things I love about this fridge — it is bright and well organized, so I could fit a lot of food for 4 people even during the pandemic, when I was stocking up 3 weeks worth of food, lots of veggies ( and don’t have an extra fridge). I also like the veggie/fruit drawers and the deli drawer. All of the shelves are easily removed for cleaning. The ice maker and water dispenser work very well. The right side door has a large shelf for storing juice, milk or other items frequently used, which keeps the door opening short to conserve energy.
The biggest downside is the freezer door can sometimes be left slightly ajar when a food item blocks its closure and the door alarm doesn’t trigger and it is not easily noticeable. This caused us to lose an entire freezer worth of food more than once and perhaps is the reason the compressor burned out (replaced for free under warranty). Thankfully it was still covered under warranty, but we lost all the food in the entire fridge and my husband got food poisoning from eating what he didn’t realize was not fully refrigerated meat. It also took over a week with no refrigerator for the repairman to come. While leaving the door ajar is user error, it seemed fully closed, and LG needs a door alarm to sound if the freezer is even slightly ajar and not maintaining the proper temperature.
The freezer drawer organization is also not my favorite, but I appreciate the energy efficiency of having the freezer on the bottom.
LG: make a freezer door alarm that sounds when it is slightly ajar or the set temperature is not maintained, and I would change my rating.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed by the professionalism, demeanor and craftsmanship of the fellow who came out to fix our fridge. His name I believe was Bernard.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love having the counter depth model. Easy to use design with moveable shelving. Warranty is excellent too.
I bought this a month ago and have some issues with the unit.1. After the installer connected the unit and slid into position it mad several loud hammering sounds. It took 2 days for the refrigerator to reach the set temperature and start producing ice. The left side door compartments are too narrow for most condiments. 2.
