[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked well for almost 2 years and 9 months after purchase, but then the compressor gave out and needed to be replaced under warranty. Then 9 months after that the condenser gave out and needed to be replaced, again under warranty. If something else major gives out after it is out of warranty then I will probably replace the whole refrigerator.

Cooling problems

I've had this fridge for 2.5 years. It has started to malfunction. It does not hold a constant temperature in either the refridgerater section, or the freezer section. The temperature fluctuates between 36 degrees to 56 degrees in the fridge section. In the last three days it has been running between 36 degrees and 45 degrees. I can't trust putting any items in the freezer.

I can happily say that the ice maker has been more reliable than most. My main issue has been the compressor. It failed two weeks ago, and I have struggled to get warranty repair service. If LG improves their customer service, I would rate it 4 stars.
