This model has been a nightmare. Compressor went out twice, now it keeps leaking on the floor and the bottom if the upper half gets a layer of ice on it. We thought we solved it by vacuuming the back of the fridge but here we are a month later and Were having the same problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really happy with product until the compressor went out. Called for repair and it was covered by 10 year warranty. The refrigerator is only 4 years old.
This is the 3rd LG refrigerator of this style we have purchased in the past 15 years. We have not experienced any problems with the two previous units. On returning to our property after an extended vacation, we discovered that our current refrigerator had stopped working and all of the food & wine stored in the refrigerator was spoiled. Since the unit was down for a couple of months, there was an extreme mess including rotting food, maggots and obnoxious odors. Cleaning the refrigerator to a minimal state took 4 days and ultimately needed the help of the LG repairman to remove all the internal parts to access the contaminated areas. It's now been two weeks with no dependable refrigerator. The repairman has been to the property on 4 occasions and has replaced most of the "guts" in the refer. We thought the problem was finally solved three days ago and the unit was working; however, when we awoke this AM the refrigerator registered 43 degrees and the freezer was at 12 degrees despite the 38/-1 settings of the previous 3 days. Luckily, we had not stocked the freezer and the supplies in the refrigerator were at a minimum. It appears that we still have a problem and we cannot depend on the refrigerator for its basic function! We have been a long time LG customer with numerous appliance purchases to include 3 refrigerators, washer & dryer, numerous flat screen TVs, smart phones, etc. Based on our recent experience, I'm beginning to question our "Brand Loyalty" with LG! If, after two weeks, they cannot repair or replace a failed unit under warranty, what is the sense in continuing doing business with this company?

Purchased the refrigerator in 2017 and after hearing about numerous issues with these products, I thought I was lucky and had a good unit. The refrigerator and freezer stopped working a few weeks ago. I called and received a service appointment 11 days later. On the day of the appointment, I received a phone call that the technician did not show up that day so I had to reschedule. I now have an appointment 13 days later. Not happy that I’m going to be without my refrigerator for almost a month. Pretty unlikely that I will purchase LG again.
