It's a very nice fridge, but not reliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It looks like a very nice fridge, and when it works it works well. But I am quite disappointed that its major components are so unreliable.
After two years the compressor failed. A year later, a PC board failed. Now in year 4 the evaporator assembly failed. These are the major components! They should be much more reliable. We have had many other brands of refrigerators that lasted decades with no issues but having so many major components fail in such a short time is unforgivable. I definitely recommend a service contract. You will need it with this refrigerator.

I won’t buy another LG product!

Frig has made loud high pitched sound since the repair. I’m told because it’s still cooling, nothing can be done. I replaced the dishwasher 2021, had stove fixed when burners would not light in 2019. No more LG for me!

LG has had technicians at my house to install a "Dye Line" to find out where its leaking coolant at. Before the coolant leak, I give LG a 5. Due to the leak, I chose 4 mostly due to the fact that LG has sent technicians to my house in an attempt to rectify the issue. I'm hoping LG completes the task, and restores my faith in LG. Most people would give a lower score in my position, but things happen, and the technicians who have come to my house have been outstanding.
