Never Again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 3 years ago.Now, within 5 months the compressor had to be replaced; now the evaporator replaced; after 2 days refrigerator and freezer still not working and waiting 5 days for service. Will never buy LG again because of product and very poor service!

Only had one issue with a coil going bad but it was under warranty and while they were there upgrade my compressor because of know fact that is wears out over time and before the 10 yr warranty period. Great service!

Nice looking frig but has issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had multiple issues with the ice maker and now the compressor has failed and because of the compressor failure, the condenser and both Evaporator coils need to be replaced due to oil contamination from compressor failure

Bought this fridge in 2017. It has been running perfectly until this week. I called LG and they were very helpful in getting this resolved. They scheduled a certified tech for me, repairs and parts would be covered, and confirmed all information with me. There is a known issue with the compressor, and LG customer service was responsive and helpful. Today my fridge is up and running again.
I love this fridge. We need a smaller fridge and this is perfect counter depth. I can open and close the doors in any order (don't need to open/close one first). The water dispenser took us a day to get used to (put our glass in the wrong spot) but we were used to our old fridge. The space is decent for a smaller fridge, food doesn't get lost behind everything. It's well lit, super easy to clean inside and out, adjustable on a whim. The ice maker has a small profile which I live. We don't use a lot of ice, but it never freezes up when it sits for long periods, comes out consistently.
While I love the draw for the freezer, draws have less space, but that's for all fridges like this, so not a draw back, just something to think about when buying a fridge. We have an extra freezer to handle overflow, but the freezer on this model is roomy enough. I do love the small draw for frozen veggies, keeps them from getting lost in the larger bin.
I really do love this fridge. I hope with the new compressor this lasts a long time.

Poor reliability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had a refrigerator for 20+ years and never had an issue with it. We remodeled our kitchen and bought all LG appliances. The refrigerator lasted only four years before they compressor went. We are hoping that the other appliances last longer than the refrigerator. We recommended LG products to our daughter and son-in-law and we are very much concerned about the reliability of the products they purchased. I don’t think I would recommend LG products to anyone else after seeing how unreliable their products are. We are without a refrigerator for close to three weeks and waiting for the parts to be received for the repair. You would think that the parts would be secured and sent overnight but that was not the case. A major inconvenience on our part.

Repeated failure

Compressor failed after 2 years (Sept. 2020). Was replaced.
Failed again a little over a year later (Nov. 2021). Compressor and coils were replaced, but the unit never got back down to proper temperature. Tech said one of the new parts must have had a blockage and would need to be replaced again. Second tech came after about a week and confirmed the blockage and said the condenser should also be replaced. Currently it's mid January, 2022 and I'm waiting for the tech to come install the condenser which he ordered and has been sitting in my garage for a month.
So in summary, multiple failures of this unit in the 3.5 years since purchased. Still not functioning properly and awaiting repairs and have been left hanging with a non-reliable and not properly functioning fridge for 6 weeks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Constantly Breaking Down
