I have had this fridge for 2 years it had died 4 times! This last time I was out a fridge for 13 days! AVOID at all cost or don't forgo buying the warranty plan!

I like the refrigerator----when it works. The internal lights are great, a very nice feature. The layers of drawers in the freezer make that space more useful and efficient. Unfortunately, the compressor failed on 12/29/21. I have had no refrigerator for 4 weeks. It gets repaired next week. I am glad that I purchased the extended warranty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 3 years ago and the compressor failed. LG quickly responded and replaced it for free. Compressor failure before 4 years is a common complaint. The only problem is, I have another LG fridge in the garage that’s a year old and now I have to “wait” for that compressor to fail. Why doesn’t LG have a recall and replace the faulty compressors BEFORE they die and our food is ruined?

The refrigerator stopped cooling on New Year’s Eve and the repair is scheduled for February 10th. Hopefully they will show up on schedule

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge stopped cooling at the 4 year mark. Had an extended warranty that covered up to five years. Took 4 trips over 2 months to fix it. Worked for a year and a half more and then after 3 more repairs the guy said it couldn't be fixed. It worked for about 5 years until you will have to replace it.

In the 6 years I’ve owned it, I’ve had probably 6 service calls, and only because I save them up until it can’t be avoided. We’ve replaced the compressor TWICE (a known problem), had the bottom of the fridge filling with water and leaking 3-4x now. They’ve replaced the entire plastic interior (it cracked), and all interior drawers and larger door bins 1-2x. It’s unfathomable, but certainly made my home warranty enrollment worth it, lol. The mechanics who come usually express their condolences that I own an LG—apparently this is not atypical. I will never, ever touch another LG appliance. We’ve had good luck with our OLED TV so far—I’ve heard you’re ok there. I am not affiliated with any commercial interest. I wish there were some way to get my money back. This thing is terrible. LG 24 cuft counter depth.
