nice features, but compressor dead after 5 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] nice features but compressor dead after a power outage. have to pay dispatch fee and labor to get manufactory fix it. Because there was no indication of cooling is not working, all the food in freezer had to be thrown away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this model of the LG Refrigerator about 6 years ago. The water dispenser and ice maker began acting up, and freezing. This caused the ice maker to stop working and the water to randomly shoot out without anyone touching it. Had 3 different companies come out to fix, but they failed. Eventually contacted LG directly, they ordered a new ice maker assembly, installed it, and since then it has worked like a charm. We have always liked this refrigerator/freezer unit, and it's now working like it did the day we bought it. Nice unit, just make sure you get a service company that understands how to work on the LG brand.
