[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought an LG French door counter depth fridge when we remodeled our kitchen three years ago, and the thing died completely overnight three weeks ago. I had to toss out hundreds of dollars worth of food. I will say LG customer service was wonderful, and the compressor was under warranty, but it was nearly 2 weeks before an LG repairman could get here. We actually bought a dorm fridge to tide us over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my 65 years this is the first refrigerator I’ve had that just died. The compressor went out but even before that it would start making noise like a lawnmower. Turns out some internal fan gets ice built up around it and the noise gets progressively worse. The fix is to turn off the refrigerator for 8-10 hours so it’ll defrost. Then you have to do this again in a few months. Not happy.

It alarms you to change the filter. Great ice maker, filter water, cools produce well. Has good storage place to store your food and freezer. LG has a great customer service where you can reach them with any issues and they have great service technician who are very knowledgeable.
