The fact that it was new was not the only thing. It was beautiful! The french doors were such a welcomed feature. The bright lights illuminated every space. The freezer rolls out nicely with various spaces for frozen foods. While I didn't want a black refrigerator - this black stainless was a nice compromise. It looks really nice in my kitchen. The only issue I've had was with the compressor. It was tough getting it replaced in a timely manner, but once LG repaired it - my refrigerator was up and running once again with no further issues.

It has been repaired 3 times in the last month. 3 compressors, 2 evaporators, and an ice maker (at my expense). It was repaired once more on this last Tuesday and worked fine for one day. Yesterday on Friday no ice, refrigerator not cooling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this refrigerator back in 2016 and had encountered a few issues, a few times with freezer being frozen up and one time with the fridge not being cold. LG did fix all the issues in a timely matter but thought it was a hassle to deal with the problems. I do like the features and the modern look of the fridge but thinking the quality needs improvement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems like they don’t make refrigerators like they used to. In all fairness, we love the look. We love the space. We actually build our kitchen cabinets around the fridge. We have own this LG refrigerator 8 years. We have heard each refrigerator brand and model have there unique issues. Our LG issues are freezer stoped working around year 3. We have ice build up 2 times a year. Year 7 our condenser stopped working. This month both the freezer and fridge fans had to be replaced. Our model had a case action lawsuit so we did receive a few hundred dollars back.
With all that we still like our refrigerator. LG customer service is great and the local authorised repairman are great. I have spend probably an additional five hundred on repairing this LG. Fingers crossed we get 8 more years.
