Bought this refrigerator 3+ years ago. Just had compressor replaced under warranty. We love the look and the configuration of the refrigerator and freezer. Counter depth let’s you easily see everything on every shelf. Freezer arrangement is very flexible for any size item. Ice maker capacity is a little small but takes up almost no space in the refrigerator.

Way Too Many Issues!

I have had this refrigerator for close to 7 years but have had many issues with the majority of them coming in the first 2 - 3 years. I'm now dealing with an issue that the refrigerator will not get down to the correct temperature. I have previously had issues with the ice maker freezing up, ice building up inside the freezer, and the wire located above the right door hinge that turns the freezer light on and off keeps breaking. I gave up on the freezer light and no longer have a light. Very frustrating and I've had multiple repair men tell me to stay away from LG refrigerators. I love their televisions but this refrigerator has been a nightmare!

Worked well for 5 years then known manufacturer defect occurred, which we were not notified of. Came home from vacation with melted ice cream everywhere. Would have been nice if LG proactively addressed the issue before it occurred since it was known to them.

Nice frig but needed service twice in 6 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the style and functionality of the frig however after a few months I e was building up inside and needed repair. Fortunately warranty covered it. Recently though another service call for the same issue No warrant and extended 5 year service plan expired 10 months ago and it took over a month to find a LG repair person. It is fixed. Hope we don’t need another repair in the near future.

You won't like this review....less than 4 years old and this is the 2nd major issue I've had. This time the compressor went out and most all the food in Refrigerator and freezer had to be thrown away! The repair person said these were lemon compressors!

LG refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My refrigerator was purchased in September, 2018. I enjoyed having it in my kitchen because it is spacious, modern looking and practical. My enjoyment disappeared all of the sudden, because one morning when I woke up , I discovered water on the floor, the refrigerator compartment was warm, meat and ice cream thawed in the freezer. Compressor failed I was told.
I have owned more than one refrigerators in my life, compressor failed after 3 years of owenership was the first experience I have ever experienced. It wasn’t fun to say the least.
The inconvenience and frustrations that myself and members in my family had to endure were significantly huge. Very happy the repairing work was done successfully and I am enjoying my refrigerator is up running again.
I pray that this time the newly installed compressor will go strong and last more than 3 years.

Great ice machine and lots of space

We would’ve preferred to have kept this for many more years, but unfortunately the compressor went out. LG was great in extending the warranty to cover some of the repairs, but unfortunately there aren’t any technicians who’d come out to service it. We live in a very rural area. Bottom line is we bought another brand due to wanting service available. Honestly would’ve very much preferred to have had it repaired.
