Improved,but...

This is our 2nd LG counter depth in less than 5 yrs. We needed a counter depth refrigerator because of the location in our kitchen.
The evaporator was bad in the first. We are really happy they have enlarged inside space by streamlining the shelves. Overall the design for the interior space is better, gives more usable space. But, we are on our 3rd craft ice maker in less than a year. Aren't these things tested before using?! The ice/water dispenser always has a white powdery substance that floats out during use and dries on the area. ??? It didn't happen with our previous LG frig. It is always something that needs to be wiped off, not nice-looking.
Without those two drawbacks, It looks good, keeps the food cold and frozen, and so far, keeps on working, too. We have high hopes for this one!

Good With Problems

Just finished my 6th year with this fridge. It runs remarkably quietly. But I have had two issues that required service. The first one was the ice maker that was under warranty and the last was the compressor which was partly covered. The part was under the 10 year but the labor was not. And there sure have been a lot of them and that resulted in the class action suit. So the chopice is yours.

Known issue, Evaporator Failed

Purchased in 2019, dead in 2022. So disappointed. Unit has power and water, simply stopped cooling. No alarms, alerts. Just died overnight. Icemaker thawed and dripped on floor. Freezer contents thawed overnight. Read the reviews. This is a known LG issue.

Great unit when it works. Had this model for 7 years and just had the second compressor replaced along with a coolant leak. First fix was covered. This one parts partially covered but no labor. Essentially spent half of whatbannew fridge would have cost. Next time it gets replaced.
