My refrigerator is 4 years old I never have problems except once with the motor the company LG replaced it with no problem

My husband and I purchased this refrigerator many years ago and it has worked really well. I am giving it 4 stars because of the compressor issue that comes with having an LG refrigerator. However, after calling the company and telling them about it, they sent an LG certified technician to come and fix it for a third of the price.

We did extensive research before choosing our LG Refrigerator and we really felt we made the right choice. Beauty, function and had all the elements we were looking for at a reasonable price. We were extremely disappointed that just after 5 yrs, 2 months of service the compressor died. A refrigerator to my understanding should last at least 12 + years. The estimated cost of repair was a thirds of the cost of a new one. I called LG and the customer service department worked with me to find a local LG repairman to repair it at a more reasonable cost. While I thought the price was more reasonable, I felt that i should not have had to pay the full cost of labor. The part was covered by the warranty. Pleased my LG appliance was repaired, but frowning on LG for not covering more of the expense. My expense over all exceeded $600 not including have to take a day and half off of work with NO pay. The LG repairman was Awesome! Professional, Courteous, On time, and Extremely Knowledgeable. But LG 's phone customer service was just ok. In the end, I Never should have had to go any of this. A refrigerator should last much longer than it did. Major inconvenience.

Bottom of freezer drawer and refrigerator doors have stainless steel showing like black coat is peeling. No frost pattern but per technician all motors working

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT EXCEPT THE OLDER MODEL OF COMPRESSOR. THE SERVICE MAN WAS VERY NICE, PROFESSIONAL AND KNOLEDGEABLE.
