The fridge has been working awesome for 4 years, then all of a sudden the compressor goes. It was very surprising and disappointing. Luckily, the part was covered by 5 year warranty and service came out in a few days to repair. So, LG did a good job to fix issue, but prefer there be no issue after only 4 years
I purchased this refrigerator in 2018. It’s broken down at least every six months from time of purchase. It’s always the same problem: does not cool. I’ve lost all my groceries at least 5 times, and let’s not even talk about the mess this creates. I, unfortunately, am extremely dissatisfied with the unit.

Over the course of 5 1/2 years I have replaced the compressor, the motherboard, and the ice maker. I would have expected a little better quality from LG.

I bought this refrigerator and it lasted a few years before the compressor died. Thankfully there was a class action lawsuit against LG! The compressor was replaced for free. However, the experience was very inconvenient. Then just recently the refrigerator's water dispenser decided to turn on by itself in the middle of the night, soaking our floor until we were able to get to the unit and open the door to cut off the water flow. Thankfully we were home when this happened or the damage would have been significant. I will be avoiding LG products in the future and will be going with AMERICAN MADE products that do not source their parts and materials from China.
