[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only less than 6 years, the compressor starting to give up and finally gave up in a year later which was last month and the fridge completely lost its cool. Have to have technician to replace with a new one but luckily it is still under warranty.

Purchased this refrig 7 years ago. Compressor died around year four year; fortunately, LG replaced it for free. We purchased the black stainless steel version and indeed the black stainless look is just a thin film over the stainless. The film tore way at the refrigerator handle, so the nice looking refrig is not so nice looking any more. Recently, the refrig developed a leak and slowly died. We had that repaired. So not the best LG experience.

We have had our LG for 7 years. In that time period we have had it repaired 6 times - meaning having to defrost prior to repair visit, losing food time in the process. I will never purchase another LG product and have advised my contacts to do the same.

Bought 5 years ago, freezer stopped working , then fridge at 5 years almost exactly. Cannot recommend due to that.

While this refrigerator can do the job of keeping your foods cool I found it doesn’t have enough room in the freezer department. It’s more an apartment type of unit where you don’t have space. Don’t buy for a house, maybe a small house about apartment size. Also make sure the center piece does deploy when you close the doors otherwise you will have problems down the road with replacing the fan
Just out of warranty and lost Main control board and maybe compressor. LG refrigerators do not have a great reputation with the repair community

Refrigerator failed and it needed a new compressor and fan. The service tech, Joseph Crocco was exceptional in his response and expertise. It works like a champ now.
