Horrible Service and Parts

We bought this refrigerator a little over 3yrs ago...6 months ago, less than 3yrs old, it quit cooling. After 3 service repairs, the compressor was finally replaced. Now again, 6 months later, it has quit cooling and we have been without a refrigerator for almost a week with no service appt scheduled.Twice now we have lost everything in the freezer and refrigerator so in addition we are out almost $1,000 in food, no refrigerator and no solution in sight. We have been told we have to follow the process of service calls, repairs, etc before a credit is given towards a new refrigerator...at this point, NOT WORTH the money to be without such a necessity only to have to use the credit for another LG product.

Not worth the money

We have had our refrigerator for approximately 3 years. Approximately 3 weeks ago the refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. The technician came out and determined it needed a new compressor. Ten days later and a four job the compressor was replaced. After 24 hours the refrigerator was not cool and had a temperature of 70 degrees. The technician indicated the refrigerator will need a new seal. The job will take all day. We are now waiting for the parts to be delivered and repaired. Which will be another two weeks and no guarantee the refrigerator will be fixed.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everyday I think how much I hate this fridge

Everyday and mulitple times a day I regret buying this LG fridge. The water dispensor was an issue early on because it would dispense all over the floor. Ok so it took a minute to realize the water spout is in front. Great. Now how do you keep the water from splashing everywhere: the front always has water spots, splasing on the floor, and in your face. It's annoying and even worse when we have company it's down right embarrasing. Every day I think how I wish we had another refridgerator. All our appliances in the house are LQ but here they really dropped the ball in design.

This is a horrible refrigerator. I bought my first in 2013 it failed 13 months later, I had the repairman come out and on the third time it failed the story please my refrigerator with the exact model. I received the new mod this is a horrible refrigerator. I received the new refrigerator and within six months it failed for the same reason, the repair man came out again and replace the entire refrigeration system. Now a little over five years later the compressor fails again. That is a total of five times I have lost all my food in the refrigerator and freezer.

broke after a year. motherboard is out, possibly a coil failure.. who the heck knows!
would be over 350 for the new board, plus a few hundred for the work, then it might still not work as the compressor might need replacement as well.
