Linear Compressor is garbage

As I read through the comments, it's clear there is an issue not only with the fridge, but, with the customer service provided by LG. I have been dealing with them for a month with no resolution, spending hours in the phone with their support, and dealing with local service people because LG can't get somebody here. Every (and I mean every) service place I called locally said that are having to turn away 2- 3 customers a day who need LG repair. They all recommended that I never buy LG because they are not reliable and the compressors just go out too quickly. Even if I could get a service person out here quickly, to have to deal with this would not be worth it. It's too bad too, because all my stuff is LG. Going to buy a new fridge now, and, it won't be LG. Lost a loyal customer.

LG fridge spontaneously ejects water

Stated out good but then the ice maker went out after 2 years. Now the ice bucket freezes solid every 2 weeks. and yet last night the water dispenser started spewing water out all on its own all over our hardwood floors. Good thing we were home and someone was awake otherwise we would have had a huge water problem I wont be buying another LG this thing sucks

Nice to look at -- Terrible build quality

This unit was good for 2 years then the problems started. First, the ice maker. While filling the ice tray, it would shoot water all over the place and then freeze, causing a gigantic mess. Now, 3 years to the day the compressor died.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Three years ago we purchased a six (6) LG appliances. At first were very satisfied, but in less than 3 years, two of the appliances of broke down. The second appliance to break down was the refrigerator. We have now been without a refrigerator for more than a month with repairs still not completed.

Compressor problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the refrigerator over 3 years ago and love the design and features of the unit. But the compressor stopped working appropriately 3 years after the purchase. LG covered 2/3 of the cost of the repair and partially paid for 1/2 of the food loss.

Great features when it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this refrigerator ..... good interior design, bright and roomy, BUT unless you want to make friends with the LG Repair team, please do not purchase. One problem after another... it gets to be a really distressing scene when you have to either move food to a friends house or toss it out and not get reimbursed for the expense of replacing the food and refrigerated meds.
