Looks great, but looks are deceiving...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had nothing but trouble with this thing. We have had it less than a year and today we are having our fourth warranty repair done. The water system has leaked twice, spilling large amounts of water onto our new wood floor. The freezer fan went out and we lost lots of food when the uni froze over. Now the refrigerator fan has gone out and we have lost more food. Thankful that we are still within one year, we are going to start the process to get this thing replaced. Done with it. I would seriously reconsider buying this or ANY other LG appliance. Out of all the appliances we bought for our new kitchen this is the only one we have had problems with. It is also the only LG item that we bought. They won't get my money again.

DO NOT PURCHASE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do not purchase this refrigerator. I purchased this refrigerator based on size and space needed as well as certain features that were preferable. There are marks on the stainless that are only visible when the light hits it at a certain angle. The marks appear as if the stainless is "bleached", lightened in a streaked pattern on both doors but not on freezer. Unable to photograph due to glare from stainless and light required to see the marks. Have been escalated to the "EXECUTIVE" team and need to have a technician determine if it's a manufacturing defect as they do not cover "cosmetic" in their warranty. Purchased all other appliances at same time with a different manufacturer and the stainless on those if perfect and have all been care for in the same manner for similar length of time. Purchased 2/2016.

Stopped cooling just out of warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Owned this product for just over a year and it recently stopped cooling. Frankly, I'm blown away by just how quickly this refrigerator failed. It's a shame, until this point i was very happy with my purchase. Repair costs for the unit are still up in the air, but this experience has soured me on LG products.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Worst refrigerator I've ever owned
on September 10, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator in November 2014 so I've had some time to live with it. Looks great in my kitchen. Decent capacity for a cabinet depth model. Interior can easily be configured to accommodate different food items. Easy to keep clean. So by now you may wonder why this is the worst I've owned - frost. No, frost isn't accurate, ice. Once or twice a year, ice builds up below and behind the Glide N Serve drawer. The build-up is so severe, it requires us to move out all the food and disconnect the appliance for several DAYS to allow the ice to fully melt from all of the vents and crevices involved. And even then, since the design is meant to be frost free, one cannot be sure all the ice is fully cleared because the spaces are not accessible. I've had repair personnel to my home to trouble-shoot the problem and I was given the answer that the ice accumulates from moisture in the air due to having the door open too much. Open too much? We are a household of 4 adults, 1 of whom is off to college 8 months of the year and 2 of whom are at work each day. We are not in the habit of standing before the open fridge admiring its contents. Why did I never have this problem with other models when the children were small and more likely to stand lost in indecision?? Further, the home is heated in winter, air conditioned in summer, both of which remove moisture from air. And we have no humidifier in place. God help us if we were a larger family with younger children! I'm so thankful for my 30-some year old, energy inefficient Amana that stands year after year faithfully keeping my extra items cold in my basement. This is the workhorse that holds my food while my finicky LG is defrosting, inconveniencing us with running up and down stairs during every meal preparation. Photos below show this latest episode - and this particular time, I've caught it before it really built up badly. Purchase this fridge only if you enjoy defrosting. It certainly is not the frost-free appliance it claims to be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is a thumbs up! I would highly recommend. It has enough room to refrigerate food for a family of 7, and I don’t find myself digging and looking for items. Everything is visible and accessible. Only down turns are closing the upper doors at the same time makes a loud slamming noise and I’m always cleaning the smudges off on the outside of the fridge.
