Amazing camera! Lots of great Features!

I have owned many cameras and paid thousands for Nikon and Canon cameras. I just bought a Sigma 85mm f1.4 lens and amazing photo/ image quality with the A77ii. Video quality is excellent too. I shoot sports and landscape with occasional portraiture. Very capable camera. I wish Sony would make high quality adapters for my Nikon/ Canon glass.

Sony just keeps getting better

This is my second Sony DSLR, after three preceding Minolta SLR cameras, and I must say that Sony just keeps getting better and better. I love the automatic panorama feature, something my a100 lacked. I am an enthusiastic and moderately experienced amateur photographer, and some of my friends prefer their Nikon or Canon DSLR cameras, but I'll stick with Sony for now. Great lenses available, too.

This camera is versatile and comes with speed one needs to take quick shots without ever getting a bad shot. Use it with a prime SONY lens like the 35 or the 50mm and you will see what I am talking about. The buttons are all at the right places and the flexible LCD display screen is a great addition. I shoot Manual most of the time but the autofocus shots can be good guide on shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings. The difference in photo quality between auto and manual is not much; which is a good sign. Best camera in my collection in terms of speed and wildlife photo shoots. Portraits using variable ISOs are superb in ambient light (no flash). The price point is justified.

I've had this camera for about 2 months. I have been learning the features since I have not had a lot of time to work with the many options. I have enjoyed the quality of the photos I've taken using a simple set up. The camera is easy to setup and use without going overboard. The biggest issue I have is the camera's ability to focus. It is very fast and sometimes focuses on a area I had not expected. I believe as I get more experienced with the camera this will not be an issue. I have used many of my lenses with the camera. I have a collection of Sony, Konica/Minolta and Sigma lenses. All work seamlessly with this camera. I selected this camera for two main reasons. One is the group of lenses I have. The other is the way the camera fits my hands. It just feels right.
