No Very Adaptable

If you have a car with no cigarette lighter or a lighter in a odd space like the center console then the cord has to span across the car making it uncomfortable to drive. The window mount does not really hold the unit and fly off the dashboard frequently.
You can not use the app without buying another adapter they sell.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have always had radar detectors but I always bought cheaper models and/or cobra models. I bought this model the other day and the long range detection is superior to any other detector I've owned. Would definitely recommend if you understand these devices.

Got me a ticket

My radar detector worked fine at first. I felt protected on the road and did not worry about its effectiveness. Then I got my speeding ticket. I saw the cop and thought to myself, "well, at lease he's not running radar" because my radar detector was not going off. Now, when I drive to work as the sun rises, my radar detector indicates laser every time I go from shade to direct sunlight. It has been 11 months and my radar detector is reading phantom lasers, missing real lasers and just frustrating me altogether. This $300 item is now worth almost nothing to me.
What's great about it: Easy to setup and use
What's not so great: Does not pick up all forms of laser, Misreads sunlight as laser
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
