Delivered in box on May 6th. Opened it up a week later to begin installation and the upper rack sliding arm fell apart.
Tech came out last Thursday and ordered the part. Said we could use the machine with just the lower rack. When I continued the installation I noticed the door would not close and the bottom seal appeared to be lose or maybe part missing with grease smeared all over the bottom of the tub near the seal. Needless to say the machine is unusable.
We also purchased a GE frig which is working fine and a GE range which we have not yet installed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought the dishwasher to match the GE slate refrigerator. Works beautifully. Quiet as a church mouse!

Off to a bad start

Great to look at, but the build quality of the unit is poor. The unit failed within one wash cycle. Water seeped into the control panel ... wet electronics = non functioning. Additionally the door on the unit is flimsy and can be twisted with one hand.

I feel that I paid to much money for this product. It does not dry dishes well.

No power

We were happy with our old GE dishwasher so we bought this one a few months ago. We hate it! The dishes do not get clean even with the extremely long cycles. Some of our plates and bowls are now permanently discolored with brown shadows!  I believe it is because the motor is so weak (it sounds intermittent and so feeble!) and the amount of water used is so low. I assume it is to save energy, but it ends up using more because we have to pre-wash everything.

Not as advertised

This model has "Power Dry" (on or off) but not Heated Dry (on or off). Power Dry ON states that is takes 65 extra minutes and uses energy. I cannot see any difference in the dryness level of the dishes between Power Dry On or Off. Also, the inside of the dishwasher stays wet and smells musty for days if you don't wipe it down and keep the door open. This is not acceptable in a narrow galley kitchen. Also, you must rinse the dishes really well or they don't come out clean.
