A good dishwasher

to wash for the next load.
The stainless steel front is hard to keep clean, spots are hard to get off.
My new garbage can is fingerprint proof and easy to keep clean, why cannot
Bosch give a front like a garbage can.

Not everything I hoped for

But...
This was a retrofit, and the previous unit was hard wired to the electrical system. Maybe that's frowned upon now, but there is a power distribution unit that won't fit simultaneously in the old cavity with the dishwasher, so there was considerable re-engineering and cursing while I modified my undercounter to accommodate the unit.

It runs quietly, but I haven't figured out yet how to turn off the notification beeps. I've followed the directions to turn it off, but it still insists on beeping three times, thrice, to tell me that it's done washing the dishes. As we normally turn it on then go to bed, this is real annoying. The directions are also difficult to follow. They pertain to multiple designs. You'd think that when you spend nearly a thousand dollars on something, they could provide clear instructions for just what you bought.
The racks leave much to be desired. There seems to be an assumption that everyone has low profile china to wash up, but we have a set of hefty stoneware, which doesn't really fit in the narrow uprights they provide. Add in pots and pans, and it's hard to efficiently load the racks.
I'd like to have the option to wash the dishes and have no hot drying cycle. I don't see that as an option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

3rd rack is the best option ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this dishwasher last week and are so glad we chose Bosch! Tall glasses fit in the top dish rack without tipping and the rack easily adjusts to accommodate large items in the lower dish rack. I wasn't sure whether I'd use the 3rd rack option, but it's my favorite feature - spatulas, custard cups, small items - everything stays put. The dishwasher is super quiet and dishes come out spotlessly clean. I think it cleans/rinses better using the 2-in-1 soft tabs, versus detergent and rinse aid.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best dishwasher ever!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kudos to the Bosch engineers and manufacturing team for bringing a truly excellent dishwasher to market. I have had a few of the competitors machines over the years and, while they were good products, the Bosch is clearly a cut above.
From the minute I unpacked the unit, I could tell that this was a much more robust design that my previous dishwashers. The packaging was really nice in that it included wood bracing for added strength.
Installation was a breeze due to the excellent instructions and included hardware. It even includes side front mounts for securing the unit to your cabinetry so you do not have to worry when your kitchen has a stone countertop. I had my plumber to the final install as I am not as comfortable with plumbing skills. It took him very little time before it was operational and washing dishes. Noteworthy is the leveling system. All can be done from the front including the height in the rear from a screw in the front base.
As for the operation, it does what a dishwasher should do, wash dishes and it does so remarkably well. Easy to load and program, no spots and super clean...what more could you ask for?? Oh yes, it is so quiet that there is a red light that shines down in the front right corner to tell you it s running! Most of the time, it is virtually inaudible.
I will never buy another brand dishwasher other than Bosch and will highly recommend that my friends and relatives do the same.
I am in dishwasher heaven thanks to Bosch!!

Sweet Silence

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed our new Bosch dishwasher. If it werent for that little red light shining on the floor I would swear it wasnt running. Its amazing quiet and having a great room its wonderful to not have to talk over it or turn the tv up too loud.

ACTUALLY CLEANS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ran first load and everything came out sparkling. Yeah, no need to wash before I put in. Forks with sticky chocolate that laid out for 1 whole day was clean as a whistle. Glass Pitcher, cleaned with no residue. I didn't even use the sanitize option and everything was still dry. So quiet and love the light on bottom that tells you it is running. We couldn't be more happier.
