We bought this unit several months ago to match our other Bosch appliances (micro, oven and gas cooktop) yes we have spent a lot of money. We should have read the reviews otherwise located on the internet concerning dish drying issues. We have read through the manual and tried all of the settings (manual is a bit lacking) and are not satisfied with the drying capability of this unit. It is a condensation drying unit which now we wished we had one that used a heating element instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After debating dishwashers for 2 years, I was seduced by the 3rd rack and went for it! So far, I am loving my new Bosch - it is so quiet that trying to hear it was one evening's entertainment! I am already enjoying the clean dishes, how quiet it is, and have found the 3rd rack so helpful I am not sure how I lived without it!

Great clean and almost silent

This was a great upgrade from our last dishwasher. This dishwasher is almost silent, you barely know it is running. Dishes come out really clean and I do not have to re-rinse any of them. The third rack for silverware is genius. It creates a lot more space for dishes. I wish I would have bought this dishwasher sooner!

Well Performing Dishwasher

I've had this dishwasher for a about a month now and it has been doing a marvelous job. Not only does it clean the dishes well, but it also saves a lot of water and energy compared to my older KitchenAid dishwasher. \r\nPros:\r\nWell designed loading trays that separates the plates, silverware, and longer cooking utensils like spatulas and longer knives (3rd Rack on the top). Also, able to fit more per load than other dishwashers I have seen.\r\n Silent. Extremely Silent; which is a good thing! Only way you know it's on is with the light indicator that shines on your floor.\r\n Dishes come out impeccable. No residue left behind.\r\n\r\nCons: \r\nLoading racks don't feel as sturdy\/heavy as some other dishwasher racks. \r\n You can't see how much time is left in the cycle; the actual buttons and timer are flush with your counter top (you can't see them when the door is shut). This isn't a problem for me, but some people might find this somewhat annoying. \r\n\r\nOverall, this dishwasher has been the best one I have owned so far. Very good investment and was worth every penny. \r\n

This dishwasher is amazing. It is so quiet, they have to put a little red light on the floor so you can tell that it is running. Seriously.\r\n\r\nOf course it cleans the dishes incredibly well. The third rack is new to me and I will investigate how to best use this. Probably good for washing chopsticks which has always been a challenge for me in my previous dishwashers.\r\n\r\nAnyway - an amazing product.
