This is an OK product

I bought this mostly for quickly scanning receipts. The user interface the comes with the product is harder to use relative to others on the market. It needs a lot of refining. Also, for no apparent reason the device stopped communicating with the computer over USB. I have never been able to get it to connect wirelessly. This was true for different computers. After 2 calls for technical advice it finally started working again for USB only. I hope this doesn’t become a reoccurring event. It scans well when it works.

DS-40 NO CONNECTION FOUND

NO POWER SUPPLY - only batteries - UGH!!
Received as a gift over a year ago as a back-up scanner - 1) I need it now and attempted to connect using disk provided - Windows 10 would not connect 2) Downloaded software following directions - Windows keeps flagging NO CONNECTION FOUND? Following HELP did not resolve issue -

Great lightweight solution for scanning

This scanner is narrow, lightweight and easy to use. It takes a few minutes to install. The DS-40 only scans one side at a time but the speed is quick and the results are good. Be sure to go in and change the resolution to your liking.

It is practical if you don’t have a big scanner available, but it is slower in scanning than I expected.
