I've had the scanner for a few weeks now and it works pretty well. Very thin paper seems to give it a bit of trouble though. Maybe it can be adjusted. Scan quality is very nice!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am having difficulty downloading this scanner to my laptop. I do not have a portable drive and the directions for downloading software to a computer are nebulous. Otherwise, I have seen this product work and am impressed with it which is why I bought it. Hopefully, I will get it working sometime today.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great little scanner

This is a great little scanner, and realy easy to use. Either hard wired or wi-fi the unit works really well. I make a lot of notes at work on pieces of rough paper, so it is great that I can just take the scanner to work and use it at my desk to scan in my notes. We have a couple of "industrial" scanners only about sixty feet from my desk, but using the DS-40 allows me to scan while I'm still sitting at my desk, as soon as I realize that I need to scan any notes; I then put the scanned notes into a OneNote page and it is building up my "database" of usefull stuff that I do at work. I'm an IT professional, so I have come across a lot of hardware in my time (going back a long way, to printed cards and acoustic couplers) this is one of the best investments I ever made. I use it for scanning receipts, printed bills and all sorts of other stuff (including my kids grade cards) while I'm at home, it,s especially useful when I don't want to get out my full size printer/scanner.

This is my second DS-40 scanner. I love it for a single sheet scanner. I also have another Epson scanner (don't have it with me right now) that feeds multiple sheets. They are both superior to other brands!

I bought DS-40 a months ago and I am so glad that I did! It's very useful especially because it's portable and practical! You can bring it on your bag and use it at your work place, working great!!!
