[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new 5 qt. mixer. I had one for 20 some years & it died. I ordered a 6 qt. mixer & was very disappointed with it. Why the head doesn't lift is poor design I think. I returned it & reordered anoter 5 qt. mixer. I do a lot of baking for famiy & friends & needed a mixer I could count on. The KitchenAid 5 qt. mixer is that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years of manually kneading meatpie dough, I finally got round to buying myself a mixer. KitchenAid was my preferred brand because of the great reviews, although it's a bit pricey. BUT! I absolutely love the difference it made to the texture and look of the dough, and how well the dough developed. I will be trying out so many more recipes now that it's easier to mix with my KitchenAid. I got scared with the shaky head but it looks like that's normal with heavy dough. So far, so good!
