Does not come on half the time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband got me this new one for Christmas and there is something wrong with the gears if I turn it on to fast it will no come onI have a older white one that he got me 30 years ago that still work fine. I don’t recommend the newer models

Should Have Purchased this Sooner

We were given a gift certificate to a local kitchen store and my wife and I have been eyeing this stand mixer for awhile. Parents, friends, random folks in the stores we met while looking at stand mixes said we would love this and that they've had theirs' for years. So, with the stars aligned we decided to use our gift certificate to offset the cost of our new mixer.
We're now the owners of the silver model and with just two days of ownership under our belts we're convinced this was the best kitchen appliance purchase we've made in a long while. It's the middle of cookie season and so on day one we cranked out doughs for five different kinds and it was WAY more fun to do than in years past. The mixer makes quick work and really we were just measuring and adding ingredients. No sore arms and hands.
For the fun of it, we also kicked out a Lemon Cardamom loaf of bread. This is a heavy bread dough that requires significant kneading. The machine made it easy.
If you like to bake this is a no brainer. Just wish we had invested in one of these a lot sooner.

(Cake, frosting, whipped cream, mashed potatoes, etc.). We love it!
