We searched for the least expensive coffee maker on the market and found it -- on sale -- at Best Buy. Grreat price; great value. Like the ergonomic pot design -- good job, Mr. Coffee! Our big ding on this product is that it apparently does not turn itself off after a given amount of time. I"m surprised at this, viewing this as a fundamental safety feature. I have found that the coffee pot stays on, the coffee will actjually scorch, and the pot gets relatively hot. As I stated, I had assumed an auto shut off would be a standard safety feature. For this one reason, I can't recomend the product. I would invest in a slightly higher ;price model that has all the "basic" features.

I didn't purchase the coverage for the last coffee maker I purchased for the office. It started having issues about a month after purchase. I had to buy another one. So far this one has had no problems. it not the same as the first one and doesn't have all the features, but so far it's doing what they need it to do.
