The coffee maker is average not very fancy but it's good for people who like simple small appliance with only on and off switch button. That's why I like it. It brews coffee as good as the other fancy coffee maker and the price is right.

If you are the type of person that might forget to leave your coffee pot on this is NOT the model for you. It DOES NOT turn off unless you turn it off. A major safety feature which should be mandatory on any device that creates heat. Not good!

This is the most basic model of a coffeemaker which works fine. I tried an upscale brand with a reservoir that didn't keep the coffee hot. I had another brand shipped to me which arrived broken. I went back to basic.

The decanter of my older, higher end machine broke, so I bought this unit just for the decanter. It was about the same price as a decanter sold seperately!
What's great about it: decanter
What's not so great: nothing

We have had this coffee pot for less than a year. We set it to wake up and make coffee this morning. When I woke up, my whole counter was soaked, along with everything on it. The coffee pot water had slowly been leaking out of some part where it holds the water in the back.
What's great about it: The clock/ timer feature
What's not so great: Leaky.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this 6 months ago based on price and previous good experience with Mr. Coffee. I wasn't expecting a lot from this simple machine, but it made good coffee, if I could put up with some coffee spattering onto the hot plate. After rarely making more than one pot per day, it suddenly won't brew.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
