Awesome Phone/Tablet

I replaced my venerable IPhone 4 with the Samsung Galaxy Note and I never looked back. Admittedly, it took a little getting used to but I bought it primarily for the S-Pen, the larger screen real estate and multi-screen capability. Once I got over thinking it should be like my Iphone I really came to appreciate the quality, screen size, available apps and total overall functionality.
I added a 16 gig micro SD for more storage and easily moved all my music and videos from my IPhone and Ipad to my Galaxy Note II.
This is an awesome device. I can take notes at meetings, write - yes write emails, work on reports, take pictures, watch movies, and play my music. The sound streams to my hearing aids to it works almost totally hands free.
It's a good size for a person with big hands (I do) that has a tendency to reach for their phone before they boot up their laptop. (Me again.) Drawbacks? None that I've experienced.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, good size for a big person
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Idea...

I purchased the Note 2 a little more than a week ago and I have to say I love it! I use the stylus almost every time Im on the phone. It makes browsing easier, no more clicking the wrong link 6 different times. The device is really intuitive and syncs many many accounts almost automatically. Battery life is wonderful. I have been playing hard on the phone and it still lasts ALL DAY. Seriously, off the charger at 7 am and at 8-9 I am in the yellow. That is with above average use. The second day I had it, I stopped receiving notification when a text arrived. No vib, no ringtone, no number 1 on the messages app. Took it back to At&t and they determined that it was a faulty sim card. Twice now, I have turned the screen on and the widgets are missing. A quick reboot fixed it but a little annoying. Camera is amazing. Web browsing is no longer annoying. The UI is really cool. Lots of features and animations that are aesthetically pleasing. The only gripe about the size is that it isnt the best for one handed operation. With that said, the phone fits fine in my pocket as I never carry keys or anything else in the same pocket as the phone to prevent scratches. Fits fine in any pair of pants that I wear.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, exceeds many expectations
Cons: faulty hardware-may be isolated incident
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Android phone on the Market!

I've been waiting a long time for the Note II as I've been wanting something of this size and with this kind of performance. The quad-core proc with 2 gb of RAM screams and allows Android 4.1.1 to run anything you can throw at it. I personally use mine all the time not only as s phone, but the headunit in my car (streaming Slacker radio, Netflix, Navigation, etc), my personal e-reader (books, comics, tech documents), as a remote desktop tool (using Teamviewer) and as a handheld gaming device (using a gameklip and PS3 controller via SixAxis) and couldn't be happier! The screen is beautiful, with 4G, connectivity is very fast, and even though it's a MASSIVE device (for a phone) it is very slim and light (no problem fitting in a pants pocket). Battery life is also outstanding considering the raw horsepower/4G/Super AmoLED screen and regularly lasts 2 days on a charge. The S-pen seemed like a silly toy at first, but after learning all the tricks, it's incredibly cool. Multi-window apps are awesome and pretty handy. My only complaints would be the specialized MHL adapter (Now I have 4 different ones, ugh) and the lack of a proper car dock (don't believe what anyone tells you, the original Note's dock DOES NOT work. Overall very, very pleased and love this phone. Don't hesitate, just get it!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, fast, good battery life, jellybean 4.1.1, multiwindow apps, s-pen is awesome
Cons: special mhl adapter required, no car dock, smart dock never available

Galaxy Note 2 on AT&T

Well all I can say is wow. I came from the original Motorola Atrix with the finger print scanner. This phone is beyond powerful and full of features. The screen is bright and sharp and the speed is something to behold. I've only had a couple of hiccups (crashes) which could be related to misbehaved applications. I've had the phone for 2 weeks. The size isn't a problem and now I spend most my time searching for ideal applications or using it for email and other messaging.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display

Better than that ridiculous tall so called new iPhone 5. This is just an awesome phone, enough said.
PS: I'm a former owner of an iPhone and will never go back, stupid lock down rules and small screen never again.
Cons: a little pricey

Almost the perfect device...

Features and Specs wise this phone is the best I've ever seen. It has successfully replaced my previous phone and tablet combination, and I don't even look back with any sort of longing. The S-Pen takes all the good of the stylus of old and adds brilliant new functionality. There are more features on this phone than any single person will use, but because we are all unique individuals, we will all use a unique combination them to suit our individual needs.
The only flaw in this marvelous device is it's lack of equal industrial design and materials. I believe the physical aspects of the phone were tuned too much in the direction of slimness and lightness at the cost of durability. Because this is an everyday, all day use device that goes in and out of pockets/purses and hands, it will be dropped. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. The materials (especially the glass) are simply too thin to withstand common falls. Even in heavyduty cases, this phone breaks when dropped. Personally, I would be okay with more heft for more durability in this phone. As is, it must be handled with exteme care. Any drop can crack the glass!
All that being said, and having broken my glass already from a one meter drop, I love this phone so much I'm paying for repairs to bring it back!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, featureset rivaled by none!
Cons: fragile
