Not. Happy. At. All.

Purchased 3/14/2016. Began leaking water onto the kitchen floor 18 months later (past the 1-year warranty.) LG repair man said it was a bad door gasket and replaced the gasket. But turns out that was NOT the root cause. Now on 10/7/2019 it is leaking water over the kitchen floor again. After doing a LOT of online research, have determined that it MAY be a design defect. Defrost cycle runs a lot and the melted frost (now liquid water) cannot drain down the little hose, because the hose gets plugged, this allowing the melted water to find its way to the kitchen floor. So WHY does the hose get plugged every so often? Is it too small? Is the defrost cycle too long or too short? How do we prevent this from happening every 15 to 18 months?

Failed after a 1.5 yeares

This expensive refrigerator has had nothing but problems since the control board failed a few years after purchase. Then the compressor needed repair, then another control board failure, and now the fan is not working. There has been ice build up in the refrigerator from the cooling air coming from the freezer, causing additional problems. I would not recommend this product.

Refrigerator bought Aug 10 2016..did not even last 4 years...compressor went...I still have 40 year old second fridge working fine and this one breaks after 3 years....

3rd compressor fail...finally died after ONLY year

We purchased this refrigerator four years ago in September 2016. It worked fine until a few months ago when the compressor went up and failed. And as of yesterday it happened again. With all that is transpiring with COVID-19 this is the worst time for a refrigerator to die/fail. My husband and I have 3 young kids and are in desperate need of a fridge and there is unfortunately no time I sight where we can get a replacement or this one repaired. After a mere 4 short years I am thoroughly disappointed in LG and this product.

Bought new, didn't even last 5 years

I bought an LG refrigerator less than 5 years ago. The claim that there refrigerators are good for 20 years. What a joke. Not to mention that during the time we had it, it was very noisy when it was still operating. I've owned a lot of different appliances over the years. You can bet your life that I won't be using LG products EVER again.

Worst product ever bought

After only two years of using this product, the cooling system has stopped working for a few days now. Tried to contact the service person for quite a few times, but haven't heard back yet. We are so frustrated with the product and with the service.

Do not... I repeat do not buy an LG refrigerator, if you do, you will regret it ...remember you've been warned ahead of time by our review... Our story is too long to get into but to condense it, I will tell you that we paid top dollar, went through 3 of them, in 7 years.. were on our 4th. when we finally got them to give us a check to buy another brand of refrigerator.. All the while, we were lied to, ignored, humiliated, jacked around and totally disrespected. No more LG in this house, ever!!!!
