Loved U til U failed me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first purchased my LG refrigerator I was in love. It was quiet, roomy, perfect. As time went on it became more noisy and developed a knocking noise when about to dump Ice. Then at the 5.5 yr mark it stopped cooling. The compressor had failed and I read that a couple of years ago there was a class action lawsuit when many of these had failed compressors. It was warrantied, but that didn’t cover labor or the diagnostic fee. Also it didn’t cover the food loss. I feel like there should have been a recall on that model if a large number of the compressors had failed. Overall, I like the space of the refrigerator, the door in door convenience, and the appearance and design. One downsize is that it doesn’t make enough ice.

Needed new fan motor 9 months ago=no refrig for 14 days. Quit again. Trashed the whole thing. Suspect the delivery people for my new refrig put in a compressor or new fan motor or something to get it running again. LOVED the features!
