Compressor stops working and freezer stops workin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been nothing but trouble since new. Compressor stops and ice melts in ice maker, then compressor starts and freezes water in ice maker into solid block of ice. You have to melt with hair dryer so you can remove ice compartment to fully dry.
Pros: ease of use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model failed within 2 years of use and is one of many purchased between 2014 to 2017 included in a class action lawsuit. I'm still waiting for reimbursement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] after 3 1/2 years, it just dies. Waiting for parts/replacement through warranty. Apparently this model is known for compressor problems. Our new stove top also died and had to be replaced after 2 years. Repair guy said theyre using soft aluminum for parts now which are not lasting....but now that's 2 LG appliances dying before 4 years!

Poor performance

French Door,counter depth, ice/water in the door. Purchased in 2015 and we are now on our 3rd compressor and will have to again replace all of the food in both frig and freezer.

This refrigerator was purchased in 2/2018. In 6/2022, it needed a new compressor. 1st time down about 6 days. Lost so much food. Money received from LG for lost food compensation way too low. In 4/2023 it needed a new condenser and another new compressor. 2nd time down 1-1/2 days. Required purchase of coolers and ice to save food.

I give it 1 star because I’ve had to have it repaired numerous of times! And have waisted tons of money on groceries due to it breaking down.Otherwise, it’s a beautiful looking refrigerator.

LG fridge sealed parts failed, it has happened to my sister my friend and now me, all of our fridges failed in 2 or 3 years never buy LG
