I bought this refrigerator in November of 2017. In July 2022 the refrigerator began to lose it's ability to maintain the proper temperature. Thus the LG repairman came and replaced some parts and restored the refrigerator to proper operating condition.
We bought this in September 2016 when we remodeled our kitchen. We bought stainless steel appliances - the LG refrigerator was one of them. In April 2021 our LG refrigerator stopped working. The service person replaced the Compressor. It was still under the 5 year warranty. Now in July 2022 we noticed the LG refrigerator was not staying cold and food was spoiling. We had a service repair done - the fan was replaced. The LG refrigerator continued NOT to stay cold. Service came back about a week later and added Freon. Hoping that takes care of the problem. Unhappy that this refrigerator has had problems being less than 6 years old. Our other refrigerator (Black) that is 21 years old is still working in laundry room, but not stainless steel and it is not an LG.

This is the second refrigerator like this (exact model). Five stars for features and ergonomics. When the compressor breaks in four to five years with a ten year warranty and there's no one in your area to fix it, that's a problem. Between both refrigerators there have been three compressor issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it in 2018 and we are very happy with out 3rd LG purchase. The outer door for access to frequently used items is great. The freezer with 3 levels makes it easy to find your items.
Quiet and plenty of space. However had the compressor fail after 5 years of use. LG replaced at their expense, but a frantic night after finding out the fridge wasn’t holding temperature. Other than that, we like the fridge

Compressor in warranty (recall issue/class action lawsuit). Was offered to get my compressor for free, extremely limited techs that will service it. Parts used for repair are same as the ones that failed. Cost more to repair diagnostic/labor than should be. Better to spend money toward new frig with new warranty.

Everything was great for a couple of years. I really liked all of the features, door in door, ice maker in the door, interior lighting, everything! Then the compressor quit! Unrepairable! Fortunately LG is buying it back. I would prefer to have it replaced but need to resolve the compressor issue.
