Horrible Compressor Problems

We are now waiting for the compressor to be replaced for the second time. It has been 3 weeks and they are estimating 2 more weeks. This is the second time we've had to throw away the food in the refrigerator and freezer. As you know, that is very expensive.

Not easy to maintain

The latch on the secondary door is poor and does not always latch. The compressor has failed twice. Calls to LG result in referrals to contractors that do not service LG. LG then offers a service of their own that is more comprehensive than needed. We are looking at several weeks to a month with no LG refrigerator. Good we had a small backup.

Great refrigerator, excellent features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our refrigerator for several years. We had one problem and LG replaced the failed part under warranty. Other than that one problem the refrigerator has worked very well. The only issue that should be considered is that you should make sure you do not block any of the internal air circulating vents. Also don't overload the freezer. Read the operating manual as it can help you avoid problems.

Condensers don’t hold up.
