Stopped Cooling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a 2 year old home and we loved the appearance of the LG appliances. I came home today and the refrigerator sounded like it was running, but there was water dripping out of it. After some phone calls, it sounds like the compressor is dead on a machine that is less than 3 years old. Our local repair shop is trying to service it tomorrow, but who knows.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had I known that you can't open the right side of the fridge with the door in the door feature all the way I would not have purchased. I spilled milk and it ran down to the produce drawers and I could not pull the drawer out because door does not open all the way. Its too late to return it or I would. Who doesn't have spills run down at times. The color of their stainless is beautiful.

Stopped freezing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just over 2.5 years and the freezer stopped freezing. Thus refrigerator is not cold either. I unplugged for 24 hrs and when I plugged back in started working for a day. It stopped again. Coils are clean. Shame we spent so much for this and it isn't working

Our third freeze up

We bought this 3-4 years ago, thought we were really happy . . . and then a large sheet of ice developed on the bottom of the refridge part. Lots of ice build-up in back, too. We emptied the fridge and freezer, gave it 3 days to thaw and started it up again . . . and this weekend just went through our 3rd time doing this. Seriously disappointed after thinking we had a great refrigerator.

Freezer issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had an LG fridge for 18 yrs with no issues and I got this fridges 18 months ago and it was definitely not what I expected. The ice box freezes and you have to thaw it out every 2 months and not the ice dispenser does not work and water is leaking.Very dissapointing
