Love this refrigerator, but!!!

Got this model less than 2 months ago. I have had the repair man here 5 times. No one is able to fix our problem. The part that is supposed to lay flat between the two French doors will not work properly, if I only use the left door. Have to open both doors & close the left one softly, then close right side. If not, the part will go straight back into the frig. & you can feel the cold air escaping. Other than this, it is great.

Amazing Refrigerator!

After 2 months of use, I LOVE this refrigerator! Tons of usable space, and the door in door feature is so handy! Wide shelves are such a treat, after having had a side-by-side for years! The drawers in the freezer hold an amazing amount of food, and everything is easy to see!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have owned now for 2 1/2 years and am waiting on the 3rd motherboard that this appliance will have installed. Has been two weeks of living out of ice chests. Wont purchase another LG appliance, as this has been just unacceptable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Told everyone how much I loved this refrigerator - the looks, storage, efficiency. Then one year and two days after purchase it stopped cooling altogether. Entire cooling mechanism must be replaced. Almost one month later, I still have no refrigerator - the warranty company and the repair company are useless. I should simply get a new one.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, easy to use

2 refrigerator failures in 2 years

The refrigerator and freezer have failed twice in 2 years, the first due to the ice build up in the freezer fan section, the second we don't know yet because they haven't been here to fix it yet and won't be for a week. We will not be purchasing another LG product.

Not a good refrigerator

Two years old and the compressor blow up and now they want me to wait three weeks for a part. I've just been moved back to the middle ages.

compressor failor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we bought this unit almost 5 years ago and just experience our second issue. the first was the well documented motherboard/defrost issue. this second time is related to the compressor. if you google the model number, first recommendation is compressor. our repair guy says this is a common issue and google adds credible evidence to support. i would hope that these things last at least decade, but seem like 5 year maybe typical.
secondly, i have issue with the way the water/ice dispenser is designed. we have had numerous accidents where the cup is placed where the ice is and guest press the water only to be splashed. it seems logical that ice and water should come out of the same place, but alas, you have to move your cup to get different things.
the door in door solution is clever and they score points there, but unfortunately, i can't recommend this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
