[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t known how to get a hold of you. Our refrigerator only worked for two weeks after it was fixed and it still doesn’t work or extremely disappointed and want it fixed.

Good, solid fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this fridge for over five years, and it has been great. The only problem was an ongoing rattle that got progressively louder and more annoying. It took three times pulling the fridge out and adjusting lines in the back before it finally stayed quiet permanently. There have been no other issues. I initially thought the door in a door was stupid and a waste of space, but we use it constantly. It is annoying that they charge so much for replacement filters, but other than that, we are very happy.

Breaks in less then 3 years!

I bought this refrigerator less than 3 years ago, the compressor in the seal system broke. LG replaced the compressor.However due to the faulty compressor, a leak went into the ice maker, now they won't fix my ice maker because that has nothing to do with seal system according to them , however my ice maker was working completely fine unit the compressor went out, now I have to dish out another few hundred dollars if I want to have ice. I spent thousands of dollars on this refrigerator and in less than 3 years I am having to deal with issues. Call me crazy but when you spend that amount of money on a product you don't expect it to go out in such short of time. I will never buy another LG product and will also let everyone I know.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LG Makes Horible Refrigerators

I HAD an LG Fridge and my mother had this specific model. Mine stopped cooling 3 times in the 5 years I had it. Known defect so they fixed it for free twice but did nothing for the lost food. My mother has had this fridge for LESS than 3 years and it has already broken twice. Again, apparently a KNOWN issue to the internet but not LG. She fought with them tooth and nail to get it repaired for free and they wouldn't budge. So now after less than 3 years she's trashing a very expensive fridge never to buy ANYTHING LG again. Good job LG, HORRIBLE customer service and satisfaction.

Great Frig!

We are very happy with this refrigerator and enjoy the large capacity. The top doors are a little noisy in closing and one has to be a bit careful to close the door-in-door fully. The ice maker has a rather small capacity, but the ice storage bin in the freezer works well and definitely helps. The door-in-door feature is very useful and I think it must save energy quite a bit.

Multiple problems over 4.5 years

Paid $3200 for this in 2014. Came home several times to water puddles on our hardwood floor. LG fixed the first problem but it was a battle. Next there was ice buildup and the motor sounded like a 747 taking off in our kitchen. Almost concurrently the ice maker stopped turning over and dumping the ice. Never again LG. Sticking with North American made products. Customer service was atrocious.

Too many poor features

My old fridge (18 years old) died and I had to get a new one fast. I have had the fridge for 7 weeks now. The stainless steel exterior cannot be cleaned. There are always streaks. The freezer is always frosted up, esp the top two drawers. the door shelves are silly. They are all short, although there is a lot of space above them. The butter dish is very short -- all you can put in it are 3 sticks of butter, it is too short to stand them on end. The shelves have a great deal of wasted space with the huge lip all around them. If the produce drawers were one wide drawer instead of three small ones, the space would be much better utilized. The middle drawer is only about 4 " wide at the bottom. Much space is wasted.

Good fridge, so far, but ice dispenser does't work

So far, we like this refrigerator, but it does have a few drawbacks. On the bottom of the refrigerator portion, there are two drawers, for fruits & veggies, and the other for meats, or whatever you want. But you have to open both doors to open the right or left drawers, This does not seem like a good design.
Also, after only 2 and a half months, the ice dispenser in the door does not produce ice, not sure why. I will look at the directions material, and see if we can figure out why ice isn't being made.
Otherwise, we like the fridge very much.
