[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator in May of 2015. Had to replace a fan in just 2 years because some part of the freeze was too cold and some not cold enough. After six months same thing happened. I called LG at that point and the technician came out and fixed some software issue and told us that if we had not called it would keep happening. after two years later yesterday all the ice cream in my freezer is melting and milk in my freeze went bad. Tried resetting but did not work. Called LG and they are sending technician out tomorrow to look at it. I hope they do not charge me. Because 5 year old very expensive fridge should not have this many problems to begin with. So far customer service is good and they have been taking care of the problem and fixing but it is too much hassle when fridge does not work. It disrupt your entire household in many ways and you have to stop doing everything else and start calling and googling what the issue is with your fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve owned this refrigerator for 4 1/2 years and the compressor died. I lost everything in my fridge and most of my freezer. Thankfully the compressor is under warranty but I’ve been without it for weeks. First someone had to come out to make sure it was a warranty problem, then order the part, then come back for repair. That part I’m still waiting to have happen.

I am old school, I have had Refrigerators that cool and freeze for over 20 years with no maintenance problems. Why does a top of line Refrigerator like LG stop working at 6 years? Now, my next Refrigerator will not be an LG. My family love the LG Refrigerator up to now. But after this event having no refrigerator for three weeks losing food it make your life very inconvenient. However, your technician was very good he repair Refrigerator very fast and appear very knowledgeable he did very professional job. In the future if you can make your product last people will purchase them and have confident in them but for now I don't.

Compressor failed after 4 years. Technician said it was internal rust issue clogging filter that causea compressor failure. And they all fail. Advised us not to buy next time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased in 2016 after reading online reviews, complete compressor failure in 2018 and also 2019 outside of 1 year warranty. Did recoup few hundred dollars due to class action lawsuit. Now in 2023, complete failure of the multi duct unit which blows the cold air from the compressor to the fridge. LG did cover the part but still out couple of hundred for the repair appointment for labor etc. service repairman stated that the compressor for the LGs have seal failure issues and undersized for the unit thus multiple fails are common. I would not purchase another fridge/freezer after dropping few thousand dollars for a lemon.

The door in door feature is excellent. What an awesome feature and the capacity is more than sufficient for my family. I love the lighting; you can see everything inside thanks to the led lights. As for the freezer, it too has more than enough room and the drawers make it easy to find your items. Thank you LG for making my days easier.

We love the great features of the LG door in a door refrigerator. The ice and water in the door are so convenient .Love the choice of crushed or cubed ice. The three crisper drawers make it easy to store fruits and vegs. separately as well as bread in the center .The freezer is so spacious. The different shelves make it easy to organize the freezer. Overall, a great product.
