Cooktop is assume. Boils water quickly. This is our first cooktop. Love GE products because they last forever. Cooktop replaced a 50 year old GE electric stove that worked fine.

GE 30" touch cooktop

I shopped specifically for GE as I was replacing an older unit. My older unit had knobs so I was looking for a touch control cooktop. I have it every day since installing it (which was very easy) about two weeks ago. The burners heat very quickly so I have to be sure to turn them down once pan or pot is heated. We specifically desired the lower heat settings on this unit since the older unit would still be too hot on the lowest settings. This new unit has solved that problem. So far there have been no negatives to mention. All the features on this unit are really all that we need.
