I got this model because there were no knobs. It is easy to move pots without worrying about hitting the knobs. Heats up quickly, and I love the control lock.

Replaced an older GE JP342 cooktop and did not have to make any adjustments in the cabinet. Just dropped the new one right in. I thought at first I would have an issue with the longer cable being on the opposite side than the older unit but was able to find a way to coil it differently and attach to cabinet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great stovetop!

We upgraded our kitchen and replaced our old stovetop with this GE model about a month ago. So far we love both the looks and the operation. This new stovetop is great at controlling the heat during cooking compared to our old one. We love it!

Looks good and heats up fast. But, it's difficult (in low light, impossible) to see the markings and the burners are oddly placed. Also find it difficult to clean; it always seems to look smeared. Overall, we have regretted buying this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this this week and already love it, especially the grill side, which I have always used a lot; I love that there are no knobs that the dirt gets under, too!

No see-'em controls

Just got this installed. Had glass cooktop before, so I'm aware of the cleaning. The big disappointment is that GE had made it almost IMPOSSIBLE to SEE THE CONTROLS to turn them on! The only way to see them is to get my eyes WAY down, EVEN WITH the level of the cooktop. Our last one was EASY to see! Why didn't they think cooks would need to see the controls? It almost doesn't matter if it cooks well (it's too soon to tell), if you can't see where the controls are.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
