GE is the only company that had an affordable cooktop that would work in our 1963 built home that has drawer space under the cooktop

I bought this a month ago. I just installed because different power. Find professional personnel to install. It’s looks beautiful. It’s smooth, will not wear the bottom of the pot. It’s easy to use and very convenienceI. I love it immediately.

Straightforward install, easy to clean

I needed to remove the old cooktop and install a new one in a different location in the kitchen (poor location choice when original cooktop installed by contractor). Needed to stay with 220 volt electric. Looked at different brands and models. Decided on this one by GE. Install was pretty straightforward (wish GE would have included the 'optional' mounting clips with the cooktop...had to make my own). Unit looks great installed. Once new GE unit installed, removed the old cooktop and installed maple butcher block counter top in its place. The new cooktop looks great installed. Controls are pretty straightforward...burner temperature settings need some getting used to. Seems to heat quickly. Cleans easily (it's so nice not to have any knobs in the way). So far I like the cooktop. (Tried to add/upload photos, but the application kept timing-out so I had to skip.)

I just love this model, it's flat, modern and sleek, very easy to operate and clean. I particularly love the versatility in heat rings - it's easy to cook,simmer, warm and melt across a variety of pot and pan sizes!

Next best thing to gas

I've only have had it installed for a few days now, but have been busy breaking it in. So far I have noticed it heats quickly and evenly. It seems to cycle the elements to maintain the proper temp. Buttons are easily accessible and user friendly. I read a review that said it turned on accidentally, I ran my hands over all the control to see if it would happen. All that happened was I got a beep telling me I was touching a button.
