Easy to install

Easy to order, quick delivery, and easy to install - DON'T pay someone some outrageous fee to install- do it yourself. Easy to remove the old GE cooktop and install the new one. Only thing I wish that it came with was the trim kit, otherwise easy in and working perfectly - LOVE IT.

Before purchase, I did a lot of background research on different manufacturers. This GE Cooktop had the best ratings and features. I am very pleased with the streamlined look, the absence of knobs - yea! - and the ease of use. The Lock feature answers the issues that some Reviews noted, so the cooktop will not go on randomly with slight touch, so it is very safe. I love the two burners that can sync to create a large cooking surface. I have only used it for a few weeks now, but so far it is very awesome!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Touch Control a little sensitive

I replaced a radiant glass cook top with protruding knobs with this one to get a little extra counter top space.
Turns out the controls are super sensitive, which is why they put a lockout control on it. Unfortunately the lockout only works when all burners are off; and this is great so no one lights the buffet on fire when the unit is used as a counter top, but if I try to lock the controls when a burner is on, as to not hit it accidentally while cooking, it will turn off all the burners. Not thought out very well IMHO.
Next is the timer. Oh I assumed this would time a burner to turn off. Not so just another electronic egg timer.
I seems to cook ok.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works good but can't see the controls

I like the cooktop, but one burner seems to heat up slowly. It might be the pan or I might just need to get used to it. The one thing that I really don't like is that the controls are not back lit. Seems like such an easy fix, but the way it is the controls are difficult to see unless you have full lighting.
