Love this cooktop

I haven't had the cooktop very long, but am pleased so far. I just replaced a 34 year old element cooktop, so it is a learning curve on how to cook on it. It does cook hotter than my old cooktop. It cleans up nicely, but takes some polishing. I am sure I will get used to it, as I get more comfortablel cooking on it.

GE glass cook top

The appliance looks excellent and fitment was great. I had it installed and it went in well, contrast to other reviews, if you measure the opening and read the specs this dropped right into the opening in my granite countertop. Also those people that commented that the cook top turns on when cleaning the appliance apparently do not understand that if you lock the stove it will not turn on when you wipe it off. Can they read the owners manual before writing a review????? It heats up fast and cooks well and I find it is easy to keep clean with the provided cleaning kit. Got it on sale, an excellent purchase just in time for the holidays.

We just installed this stove top and I am blown away by it. I absolutely love the simplicity, the classy look and the features of this appliance. From the start, I was completely comfortable using this stove top. Of course I had to immediately check out the power boil feature and it definitely didn't disappoint. I am just so happy that we chose this stove top. Thank you GE for a quality product!

I have only had my new cook top for 1 day but it is easy to use and heats up quickly. This is the 3rd GE cook top I have had, my last one was still going strong but decided to get a new one with overall kitchen remodel.

It’s not an induction cook top!

We loved our induction cooktop until the generator exploded. Couldn’t afford a new one or even replacement parts. But this one’ll do.

Can’t see buttons to touch when starting to use.

Buttons should have led to be visible. U just have press randomly to hit the correct plate. Poor design.

The cooktop is an excellent value, espcially if you shop around to get the best price. The temperature settings accurate and consistent, and the power boil is signiicantly faster than the Electrolux unit it replaced. Yes, the control and circle markings are not high contrast and somewhat difficult to see but you get used to it. Yes, it is a challenge to keep a black cook top streak free looking (our last one was white) but with a little practice its doable. After cleaning with Ceramabrite and Windex, I use Weiman Cooktop cleaner and a microfiber cloth to polish it to a streak free shine, so it all depends on what you are willing to do to keep it looking as good as new. Very satisfied.
