It is a little nuisance to clean. Actually ended up being a bit small physically for existing countertop opening.

Replaces a same model but one major difference is controls are in the front instead of on the right side. Contact to the controls turn the on or off unless the are locked out. Controls are hard to see compared to the replaced models controls. A real aggrivation
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The look is sleek and shiny! The lock feature is a must and we use all the time. Otherwise, if you are cleaning or setting something on the cooktop you may inadvertently turn it on. The radiant heat cooks like a charm. The digital controls are nice for cleaning. But, not nice if you forget to lock.

GREAT UPGRADE

Very sleek and functional. No more dirty knobs. Difficult to see letters at night but very soon hit them automatically. Very convinient bridge for larger pots. Had white one that turned dirty early, stained glass so decided to thow it and get new one. This is an upgrade.
