Exactly What we were looking for.

Replaced a older GE model with dial controls. The glass top with the touch controls will not prevent spills and liquids from getting to electronics. Additionally the flat surface is nice in our smaller kitchen. Main burner heats up faster than the old one and the touch controls are nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great cooktop!

So far I am loving the cooktop. I was hesitant in going with the knobless version, but it’s great. If you are bothered by having to lock the controls, then this is not for you. It’s not a problem for me. I just have gotten in the habit of locking after each use. It’s also easy to clean, which I love. Glad I went with this model. Works great for me.

I love my cooktop with a couple of exceptions. The print on the controls are a little difficult to see. It’s also more difficult to keep the glass streak free. I use the same cooktop cleaner that I used for years and didn’t streak my last model. Love the quick boil feature and all burners function well!

So far we have enjoyed our new cooktop. It heats up quicker, seems to stay a little cleaner and also easier to clean since there are no knobs on this model. Highly recommend if you are needing a new cooktop

Like the new cooktop we replaced the original GE Profile Series cooktop that we had installed when we had our home built. My only concern so far is that without the overhead microwave light on you can't read the cooktop panel.

annoying issues

Bought this to replace a discontinued GE Profile cooktop that could not be repaired. Needed to have same size because of cutout in countertop. Thought this glass cooktop would perform same as the GE Profile glass cooktop I had to replace. It does not. My issues: 1. it takes a long time to come to temperature; 2. size of burners is a problem -- only one is large enough for a large pan -- other 3 are all similar in size and a 12" saute pan is really too large any of the three. For example, if you want to use a large pasta pot and a large saute pan at the same time, it is a problem -- if you put the pasta pot on the large burner to get the full strength of the power boil feature, and then put the large saute pan on one of the smaller burners, the saute pan will cook more in the middle of the pan than on the perimeter of it. The two burners that can be linked are not necessary unless you plan to use a griddle...better to have given a medium size burner and then two smaller ones -- as on the Profile model; 3. it is annoying to clean -- it smears very easily, even when using the specified cooktop cleaner; 4. controls are so sensitive -- they beep even if you just wipe a sponge across -- so much beeping! All in all, I find this a necessary (because of size restriction) but otherwise disappointing substitution for the GE Profile. It fits though, and for that I am grateful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so sorry to hear about the burner sizes not being ideal, the warm up taking too long, and the hassle of cleaning it and the sensitive controls. We understand how all of these can be annoying. We'll be sure to share all of your comments with the development team. We do hope you'll stay in touch! Mike@GEA
