GE Glass Cooktop

My opinion is that the easily to chip and some of the spots from cooking are there to stay. I use the stainless steel pots as recommended but spots still remain on the glass top. I even purchased the correct cleaning product that was recommended but spots are still there. Otherwise, it cooks very good

Very VERY disappointed

I can't begin to tell you how much I HATE this cooktop. Ive used only GE appliances for 40 years, but this one really disappoints. The black shiney surface is literally impossible to clean, even with the recommended product. The stainless strip in front is already scratched in one month, using only smooth recommended cookware. Buffing daily with paper towel after cleaning and it is still a smeary mess. I feel like crying when I walk by it, knowing what I spent, and I'll have to keep it the rest if my life.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scratches easily

We moved into a new build recently. Our kitchen has GE appliances. I love them all except for this cooktop. The cooktop functions well and is easy to use. But in less than a month it has many scratches. I got rid of three pans and hope my Caphalon pots and pans won’t scratch. I use Weimar cooktop cleaner regularly. I did not have this problem with my much older cooktop by another brand. I recently reached out to GE to see if there is a remedy, and am waiting to hear.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better Than Expected!

After reading many reviews, I was a little hesitant to purchase this stovetop, but I have had it for over a month now, and I like it very much. It heats up quickly, and can get very hot. I did expect it to be a little hard to keek clean, but it hasn’t been a problem. It is much cleaner and nicer than the coul one I had before.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's not a good option

Week ago the big burner when I put it in low temperature mode always remained with the high temperature but on Thursday, 12/05/2024 I was cooking when I looked that it started to throw Sparks of fire
I turned it off and removed the fryer and then I turned it back on and it started throwing Sparks of fire again under the glass's since then it doesn't work it doesn't turn on
That scared me a lot.
