A challange for older folks

The knob heat range numbers are hard to see and the glass surface is very hard to keep clean . The recommended procedures still leaves residue spots and rings as well as an oily surface. Regardless the type of cooking utensils used we get the same results. The surface looks like it's been used for many years. Not withstanding, my wife is still the best cook that I know and I know somme pretty good ones!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Qulaity

Product was installed and there was a gritty and oily film on it and after cleaning it twice a week with the enclosed cooktop cleaner, there are scratches/pitting on the surface of the cooktop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We’re sorry to hear your cooktop arrived like that and that it now has scratches from use. We know how disappointing this must be and can certainly understand your concern.
It’s possible for the surface to be scratched by jewelry, knives, and other sharp objects. You’ll also want to take care with your cookware and be sure to not drag it across the stovetop. Information on the best cookware to use, please view page 11 of your user’s manual here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-2000975-1.pdf.

Huge mistake!

In less than two weeks, two of the burners stopped working. We are waiting on a service call.

I love my new cook top and trust GE products!

This is replacing an older GE cooktop. The previous was also a glass top, the first I had ever used and I wanted another. They are so easy to keep clean !

I had it installed today so have no experience using although I've used GE Appliances for many years and still have a microwave, washer & dryer, refrigerator and probably something. I'm sure I'll get great services from it.
The installers were a different story. They're supposed to come back Friday and tighten up the unit where it's loose. If I weren't disabled, if have done it myself

It is hard to keep clean and the first time we used it (to boil water!) it left a under stain.

SOMETHING IS TERRIBLY WRONG!

I bought this cooktop 2 months ago for a new kitchen and it looks good at a glance, but up close the glass surface doesn't clean easily or well and is scratched from normal use after just a few weeks. The biggest problem, however, is the lowest settings on the 2 power boil elements burns the food. No kidding! I have to cook on 2 and even then must closely monitor to avoid scorching or food sticking to the pots/pans. On previous cooktop, the numbers 2 thru 4 represented low to medium temperatures, but not this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
